The Myrtle Beach World Amateur is the largest amateur golf tournament on the globe. Going into the 34th year, the World Am annually hosts players from the 50 United States and over 30 countries. 3,100 players teed it up in the tournament in 2016, and is expected to be well over 3,000 players again for 2017. The event boasts 72 holes of net, stroke play on over 60 championship golf courses. Players are placed in flights based on gender, age and handicap, and the games most innovative handicap monitoring system keeps the competition fair and equitable.
The Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic is a 54 hole, two-person golf tournament designed to be a challenging, fun and memorable event for all of the participants. Flight prizes, random drawings, on course contests and great golf camaraderie await players from all over the globe in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC. Limited to the first 100 teams, players will compete on three different courses to determine the winner of each flight based on team handicap. This 72 hole, two-person team tournament caters to those that cannot play golf at home due to the end of their golf season. The Palmetto boasts a field of more than 40 high school golf teams from around the country. A unique 18 hole qualifier places teams in competitive flights, and a 36-hole tournament determines the winners. With past players like Rickie Fowler and Harris English, this event churns out some of the top talent in the nation.
The Veterans Golf Classic has been held in Myrtle Beach, SC for over 17 years. Equal parts golf and camaraderie, the event hosts more than 400 players for the 54 hole, two-person team event. Twelve area courses are used for the tournament, and participants are treated to an opening reception as well as an Awards Banquet with closing ceremonies honoring the branches of the US Military, prizes and open bar.
